FAM FLY - GREAT LAKES SOUNDTRACKS

ORIGINAL LP LINER NOTES:

At the end of the summer of 2008, for like two weeks, some of the Somawax Records heavy weights devised a scheme...to make the epic crew album they'd talked about for years. The gully rappers, Johnny No Name aka Johnny Arcade, Sesh MC aka Adam Falkner, and Gordy Bombay aka Binkleton Sir Figglesweathers went to work with Hall of Fame producer Eddie Arkadian to produce what they were sure would be their masterpiece, and what Gordy knew would be his last attempt at making a classic rap album.

They failed. The creative forces were too strong, the drugs were too prevalent, and the life of gully thuggertons got in the way. Eddie and Gordy nearly killed each other with guns. Johnny almost overdosed on 40 Ounces and women. Sesh disappeared completely. Gordy fell into a weed coma and nearly killed babies.

For the most part - these recordings have never been released officially. A few tracks made it onto the last Gordy Bombay compilation, The Gully Superb, his farewell to rap entirely. Beyond that, these tracks are only now making it to the light of day. A special thanks to Eddie Arkadian for releasing them from his personal vaults.

SPECIAL EDITION LINER NOTES:
**Before the name FAM FLY was agreed upon, the gully quartet also kicked around the name REFS or Red Eye Flight School, a name Gordy and Sesh had been playing with since high school. Below is an alternate album cover and title that was rejected by the label:

Long live the gully.

Mooches and sketchballs need not apply.
